What Techniques are used to Attract Different Audiences?
Overall the movie is animated (film-making style) attracting children. Glowing elements in the movie enhance it's magic. Soft warm colors are used, and make the film feel more inviting. The movie is part musical, so singing and dancing of the characters is used to attract young children. The fact that the movie is a musical with music performances in just about every scene attracts and keeps the attention of children. Within the movie there are artistic sketches. Action chase scenes are used in the movie in order to keep audiences entertained and on the edge of their seats. Cute animals with human-like emotions and feelings to appeal to kids as humorous and silly. Most importantly the main character Rapunzel is extremely relatable. She is quirky, weird, has her flaws and dreams just as everyone else. These qualities make Rapunzel like able to most people, she also the heroic figure in the movie. She saves the prince instead of the prince saving her; a modern twist to the traditional fairy tale.
